Mr. Author.

Dr. Paulo Llinás H
Editor in chief
The editor-in-chief of RLVA, Paulo J. Llinás M.D., can be contacted via email paulo.llinas@fvl.org.co. For questions about sending articles, you can contact editor@videoaccart.com.
The Revista Latinoamericana de Video ACCART (RLVA) is an official academic publication supported by the Colombian Association of Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Joint Surgery (ACCART) that seeks to provide visibility to original publications from the Latin American continent with an emphasis on empowering the expansion of the Spanish language and Latino medical knowledge in the field of arthroscopic and sports surgery.
The RLVA operates with peer review and with the reviewed articles blinded to avoid possible selection bias. Articles in the process of publication or definitively accepted must declare exclusivity and not be published or submitted to another evaluation process.
The evaluation process of the submitted articles consists of blindly sending the videos to be evaluated by two members of the editorial committee, who will assess these publications with academic criteria for the content of the talk and technical criteria for the form of the video. If the two members of the editorial committee consider that the article is publishable, it will be passed on to the editor-in-chief who will give a final verdict. In case of disagreement between the editorial members, the evaluation of the editor-in-chief will be needed to define if it is publishable or not. Finally, if the two reviewing members consider that the article is not publishable due to not having enough academic content or technical problems, the editor-in-chief will assess it, in order to determine possible corrections for the authors and subsequent submission of the corrections.
The evaluation process takes approximately 30 days. After the deadline, the article will be accepted for publication or will be sent to the author for correction, for which they will have a period of 30 additional days to make these changes and resubmit it.
All published articles must submit to the payment of the established rates that are determined below. However, there is no cost to submit the article for evaluation and the fee will be collected at the time of final publication.
SUBMIT AN ARTICLE. STEP BY STEP
To submit an article for peer review and possible publication, the author must send an email to editor@videoaccart.com with the subject: “ACCART Video Publication – (Name of the publication)” with the files marked below:
Remember that the process lasts 30 days approximately and during this time you cannot submit the video to evaluations in other media. (YouTube, Vumedi, other magazines)
MANUSCRIPT
The manuscript is a mandatory format to submit articles to be evaluated and published by the journal. The manuscript must be sent in two versions, English and Spanish. These show the narrated information and the references so that the readers have a base of the information. The format must follow the following guidelines and must not exceed 2000 words.
VIDEO PRESENTATION
Two versions of the video must be submitted for the journal. A first version, in which the names of the authors and the factors that refer to the institution where it was carried out are omitted for a first evaluation by the editors, this ensures impartiality and avoids selection bias, this version of the video must be sent as stated to editor@videoaccart.com via WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com), which allows sending free files up to 2 GB.
Once accepted by two reviewers of the board and by the editor-in-chief, an HD version of the video must be sent in final format (full HD 1920x180 px) in landscape format and maximum size of 2 GB with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, where include the names of both the authors and the institution in question. The video must be sent in English and Spanish and have the following structure to be valued favorably:
PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY AND CONSENT TO PUBLICATION
Manuscripts reporting human studies should contain statements indicating that written informed consent has been obtained and that the studies have been conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. If individuals can be identified from a post (for example, through images or on video), authors must obtain explicit written consent from the individual.
All case reports must include a release statement or other form of written approval from the patient(s), indicating that they approve the publication of their case details.
ACCEPTED ARTICLES
Once the articles are accepted, which means that they were evaluated by two editors of the board and finally approved by the editor-in-chief, the main author, with whom there is communication, will be informed about it and they will communicate if they should make minimal corrections. From this moment on, the author has 30 business days to make the payment through the platform on the website and his article will be published in the edition following the date on which he is working.
